The strength of balneotherapy treatments depends on the concentration of active sulphur compounds in the water. Using healing water sources with high concentrations (over 100 mg/1L) of sulphur compounds provides the best therapeutic results in a spa cure. Like any stimulus-based treatment, it requires a series of treatments, and the healing effects last for about one year after the end of the cure.
